They've won three out of the last four championships, have a coach who is considered a defensive "genius" and don't even make it on to espn.com's crummy little poll. I suppose that is the definition of "no respect."
Here are the poll results. Maybe they need a few more crooks on the team so they can be "noticed."

The Ravens, Jets, and Steelers all ranked higher than the Patriots (9th) in "total defense." Philly was 10th, and Carolina was 20th.
In scoring defense (the only one that truly matters), Pats were ranked 2nd, though the Ravens, Jets, Steelers, and Eagles all round out the top 6. Carolina was ranked 15th.
Must be a Panthers fan who came up with that poll.
