Clintons, Bushes

The NY Times ran an article about the Clintons' personal life today, and it made me wonder, if Hillary became President in '08, would that be such a bad thing? After all, if we could elect George Bush's son, then why not Bill Clinton's wife?

Then I got to thinking... Wouldn't it be funny if Hillary won in '08 and '12? Then Jeb Bush, who's always been lurking in the Republican background won in '16 and '20? By then, Chelsea Clinton would be 40, and thus, eligible for the White House. There's probably a few Bush family members who could take over after her! It would be remarkable - Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush. That would, in a strange way, turn the Bush and Clinton families into sort of monarchies of sorts. Can we get someone working on making this ridiculous scenario happen??

Not to get too political here, but is there any real reason why Hillary should be president?

Personally, I'm mainly opposed to her getting the party nomination, because I don't think she can win the election.

She's been a competent / good Senator. As far as Democrats go, she's got good name recognition which is worth an early head start. She's more centrist than people (the right wing) would like you to think.

Anyway, that's not really the original point of this post.

Can you explain specifically why she's been a competent/good Senator?
From the poll data I've seen, she's too polarizing a figure - most Republicans will not vote for her no matter what she says - as a result, she would be going after a smaller pool of votes than someone else.
The only thing I've learned about her recently is that she thinks young people of American have had it easy and need to get some work ethic.

Please see my previous comment. Again, it's not that I'm saying she would be the BEST President, I'm saying that this would be a very amusing situation.

As for Hillary's competence as a Senator, well, they're all a bunch of jokers. None of them get anything done of any significance. Instead, they all sit around bickering instead of trying to reach solutions. She's no worse than any of the others. In fact, IMHO, very few Senators are interested in actually getting things done.
