Second Place is First Loser

The best thing about Shaun Alexander's complaint that the Seahawks' coaching staff "stabbed him in the back" by not allowing him to get the 2 rushing yards he needed to claim the NFL rushing title this year is that as he enters contract negotiations, teams can rub it in and say, "We'd give that money to the back with the most rushing yards, but not the second-most."

what does that say about the ownership if the player feels that the ownership say something like that to save a few bucks?

if i was the owner, i would give him the bonus anyways for the hard work he did so he can go out and buy his offensive line and fullback rolexes

but paul allen is not that kind of owner
1. he helped found microsoft and helped microsoft get their big break by lying to ibm
2. he owns ticketmaster
3. he donated his hendrix collection to a hendrix museum that he built so he could get a tax deduction
4. he owns the trailblazers

this is why the seahawks are sitting at home

bad ownership is also why corey dillon was viewed as a failure in cinn
and now he's with the pats and he's a success

No. I'm just saying I think it would be funny. Obviously no team will do it.

Stop talking about the Patriots.

PATS RULE

they should change their name to the BOSTON PATRIOTS so they can be more closely identified with the BOSTON RED SOX

In case you forgot, they USED to be called the Boston Patriots. They probably changed their name to be LESS associated with the Boston Red Sox.
