Don't Underestimate Jerry Bruckheimer

A lesson I learned a few years ago when I said, "CSI looks like a stupid show."

Now this, National Treasure is the #1 movie for the third week in a row. But I'm not surprised because I never underestimate that man's projects.

I too am surprised.

I'm also surprised that Polar Express is still going. That movie looks awful.

What have we learned from National Treasure?
People are always willing to spend X amount of money at the Box Office and if you open to no competition then you'll gross $100 million.

I'm NOT surprised. Because Jerry Bruckheimer projects do well no matter what. CSI, case in point. And it has "competition" from the Apprentice.

Don't forget also he has Amazing Race.

Not all of his projects do well.
Notably:
King Arthur
Skin ("Her father is the the district attorney!")
Veronica Guerin
Kangaroo Jack
Bad Company
Coyote Ugly
The Ref

I guess I stand corrected.

Just curious, what were the box office grossings for those films, and where did they open? I wouldn't be surprised if some of them still won the weekend, which hardly qualifies for failure.

Which leads me to change my statement. I will never underestimate the stupidity of my fellow citizens.
