1991

Just browsing through my music collection and I have two conclusions:

Either 1991 was one of the best years ever in pop music, or the music we hear in our early teens ends up being our favorite music forever.

Consider the following albums, all released in 1991:

Pearl Jam - Ten
Nirvana - Nevermind
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Metallica - Metallica (The "Black" Album)
U2 - Achtung Baby
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion 1 & 2
REM - Out of Time
Tom Petty - Into the Great Wide Open
Van Halen - For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
Michael Jackson - Dangerous

Here's the thing. That was a great year for music, but hardly one of the best. You suffer from the same problem as my parents, that the era you grew up in was the best for music.

Hey Mr./Ms. Anonymous:

Can you clarify what you said?

"The era you grew up in was the best for music" but 1991 was "hardly one of the best." Let me make sure I understand... That era was one of the best eras for music but there are better years than 1991? Would you like to suggest one?

Thanks,
Blogman
